Gehling Huber on Furlough
Gehling Huber, Seneca, is home on a nine-day leave. He joined the navy March 10; qualified for a naval trade school, and is rated now as an aviation machinist’s mate trade schoolman. He is with the Great Lakes, Ill. Naval Training station, O.G. unit.
Raphael Roeder from Headquarters Co. Special Troops 35th Division, Camp Robinson, Ark., Private first class, is home on a visit.
Otis Millen, assistant Fiscal Accounting clerk at U.S. Naval Air station, San Pedro, Calif., was recently promoted to Head of Accounting Department under the new title, U.S. Naval Air station, Roosevelt Base, Terminal Island, California. Mr. and Mrs. Millen live at 1451 Redondo Ave., Long Beach, California.

Nemaha County to Furnish Four of Quota
Nemaha county’s contingent of the Kansas quota of 931 men for selective military service, to report between June 10th and 30th, will be four men, the draft office announced yesterday.
In the order of their liability for service as now shown on the office records, the four men will be Belford Duryea and John Charles Baldwin, Seneca; John M. Christine, Sabetha; Samuel Aeschliman, who is now in California. Aeschliman may ask a transfer and report in California. There may be other changes in the above list but that is the way it stands now. The next three names on the board’s list are those of Frank Callahan and Joseph Barrett, Wetmore, Raphael Dalsing, Seneca.

Get More Questionnaires
The Nemaha county draft board received 700 questionnaire forms Friday and has started to send them to registrants at the rate of 50 per day.
By a regulation which becomes effective May 31, registrants now have 10 days in which to return their questionnaire, filled. Time formerly was five days.
